OORT has announced the expansion of both its smart home and smart business ecosystem, to offer a portfolio of internet of things devices based exclusively on Bluetooth Smart, that can be controlled by a single app.
_Consumers want to use smart apps and devices to control their own environment, but are hesitant because of the large number of providers and platforms that might not interoperate,î said Radek Tadejewski, CEO of OORT. _Our system is the only one that can answer the consumers need, because of its universality. It can interact with many devices and users control it with just one app available via iOS today and via Android in the next two weeks. Plus, with the OORT SmartHUB, people can control their environment through any device with access to the internet and a web browser.î
By picking which elements of the system are the most useful to them, consumers can build their own customized smart home environments. The OORT system provides users with a broad scope of capabilities, such as the ability to remotely control connected devices, or even simply locate misplaced belongings.
_While todays launch is an exciting one for us, in 2015 we anticipate the OORT ecosystem will be further enriched with new smart devices provided by manufacturers from different continents who decided to transform their existing products into smart ones using OORT Bluetooth controllers and software,î said Tadejewski. _The real breakthrough for consumers will come when we achieve our goal of creating a smart home system that integrates all Bluetooth devices regardless of their producers.î
The OORT devices now available on its online store include SmartFinder, SmartSocket, and SmartLED.
SmartFinder – A beacon that lets you easily track down your lost items. The device can beep with the press of a button for easy search.
SmartSocket _ An intelligent outlet which enables user to turn all appliances connected to it on or off with an app on a smartphone or tablet.
SmartLED (with brand new app) _ An energy-efficient smart light bulb that can be controlled via smartphone, with over 16 million colors to choose from. Lighting actions can be pre-scheduled.
