Seattle-based Homebuilder Quadrant Homes announced it will soon integrate a host of smart features, like video doorbell, Wi-Fi garage door opener, learning thermostat and lighting control in its new homes.
Ring Video Doorbell PRO is one of the many smart products that will come standard. It allows users to see and speak with visitors at the door, from anywhere. The camera allows homeowners to clearly view who is at the door, with 1080p HD video and built-in night vision. The Ring Video Doorbell PRO can also detect motion, with the ability to create custom zones and alerts.
LiftMaster Wi-Fi Garage Door Opener is another useful product. It lets users to open and close the garage door from their smart phone. The LiftMaster’s chainless belt drive is said to produce little sound. And with battery backup, users don’t have to worry about how they will open the garage door during a power outage, the company said.
Z-Wave enabled Schlage Connect Front Door Hardware lets users check if their door is locked, and control the front door through smartphone, from anywhere.
The 3rd-generation Nest Learning Thermostat keeps home at a comfortable temperature. The thermostat learns home’s patterns and programs itself to help homeowners save energy. Compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home, users can adjust their home’s temperature with a voice command or through the app.
Caséta Lighting Control Starter Package lets users turn on the lights from any sofa in the home, or from anywhere. A command example is “Okay, Google. Turn on the lights!” With Caséta Wireless lighting controls, in-wall dimmers allow users to turn the lights as low as they like, while plug-in dimmers give lamps new lighting levels.
New Quadrant homes will come with two CAT 6 network jacks in the great room and master bedroom, a 36” Smart Panel data hub, and USB chargers throughout the home. New homes will also be pre-wired for wireless with network data and outlet combos in the ceilings of each level for wireless access points.
