Furthering its commitment to providing the most user-friendly and easy-to-use home automation system possible, ELAN, from leading entertainment, control and power technology manufacturer, Core Brands, announced the EMEA debut of the ELAN gTP4 touch panel. This value-priced addition to the award-winning ELAN Entertainment and Control System features an all-new proximity sensor that wakes the touch panel from sleep mode with the approach of a hand, eliminating the need to physically press a button to turn it on. The introduction was made at ISE 2016, Core Brands Stand 1-N53 at the RAI Convention Center in Amsterdam.
“The gTP4’s function-specific interface creates an experience that is much more satisfying than using a handheld smartphone to control the home,” said Core Brands Control Products Manager, Robert Ridenour. “Not only does it wake from sleep with the wave of the hand, but it then presents a virtual seven-button flyout keypad pre-programmed for favorite or most common commands. This offers quick access to lighting controls, automation and music presets, and a swipe of the flyout instantly presents the full ELAN control experience.”
Contemporary and sleek, the gTP4 touch panel utilizes a rich 4.7” LCD screen encased behind edge-to-edge touchscreen glass. With 540 x 960 resolution, the touch panel can display crystal-clear IP-enabled and TCP-enabled camera feeds, making it a convenient and aesthetically appealing addition to virtually any room.
For dealers, the gTP4 is easy to install, mounting in a standard 1g US or UK junction box. “The gTP4 mounts in either portrait or landscape,” Ridenour continued. “This allows the installer ample flexibility to position the touch panel accordingly when grouped near light switches or other architectural elements.”
The ELAN gTP4 is available in white or black trim, and is compatible with all gSC series controllers as well as the g1.
