Software firm Nuance Communications has announced partnership with Greenwave Systems to integrate its natural language understanding technology into Greenwave's IoT AXON platform.
The partnership is expected to enable Nuance Mix voice and AI-powered natural language understanding technologies in enterprises, industrial settings and the smart home sector.
For example, service providers will be able to offer not only connectivities between IoT devices and services, but also conversations between users and their apps, service and devices.
Through this collaboration, the two companies want to deliver voice-control virtual personal assistant which can be easily integrated into any IoT environments. “Voice-based interfaces ease the engagement,” said a company press release.
The AXON Platform is a managed, modular framework where services and applications can be deployed and maintained. The horizontal design provides developers a robust evolving landscape of device-powered real-time data.
Greenwave’s AXON platform has been adopted by telecom companies, cable and utility service providers on their audio, video, broadband or energy management systems. The company claimed the platform already powers millions of advanced networks.
The Nuance Mix technology bundles voice recognition, text-to-speech, wake-up word, voice biometrics, signal enhancement and AI-powered natural language understanding capability into one platform. It is also a data-driven solution which leverages user speech data and allows data access to drive new innovations.
“Our collaboration with Greenwave gives service providers their opportunity to create and deliver unique home automation and IoT offerings that are conversational and customizable,” Nuance Communications said in a statement.
