As the smartphone-control-it-all trend gradually prevails in home automation field, AIFA Technology, the 22-year-old Taiwan company who excels in the building the database of IR control codes, has utilized its specialty to create a centralized control over all kinds of home appliances with just one small box. For now AIFA has provided two options for customers to choose: the Wi-Fi control box and the Bluetooth control box.
The ICs embedded inside of these boxes are equipped with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth capability and AIFA’s powerful IR code database. With the mediation of the control box, IR signals are able to be accurately translated into Bluetooth or Wi-Fi signals which communicate with smartphones. Customers can therefore use phones as remotes to manage all of their home appliances.
“As an OEM/ODM provider of universal remotes that have earned approval from global brand owners all over the world, we have noticed the growing needs to control all the appliances on a phone. And that is why we focus on the ‘overall control’ over IR-based home devices at this stage,” says Wen-Lu Ni, General Manager of AIFA Technology. After the home-control part is accomplished to a certain extent, AIFA will soon take the next step by adding scheduling and smart learning features to its APP or cloud server.
AIFA control boxes are available now and open for OEM/ODM collaborations. The company also provides its Wi-Fi module with their built-in IR code database to customers who are interested in creating their home automation systems.
