Traditionally, wired applications are mostly preferred in new residential construction project. However, Shinertek, the Taiwan-based software developer, has noticed the growing trend in wireless control and has collaborated with some construction companies to provide integrated solutions based on Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and ZigBee connectivity.
“For now, some construction companies have noticed the advantages of wireless deployment of smart home solutions,” declared Grace Kuo, Director of Shinertek. In terms of the complexity in the deployments of cables and power lines, interior decorating and system scalability, more and more construction companies are considering to provide solutions in wireless ways.
According to specific needs from construction companies, Shinertek has integrated software and hardware that are usually required in the home, such as monitoring of environmental and power-consumption data, remote control via APP over lights and air conditioners, surveillance devices and alarm systems. The smart home system can interact with public devices to achieve better community management.
“Shinertek also provides an access control solution which allows users to open the doors via QR codes,” says Kuo. According to Kuo, although this solution is available just in hotels or offices at preset, it may be applied to homes as well.
