Beseye, an innovative home camera and cloud solution provider, presents its award-winning home camera “Beseye Pro” at Computex Taipei 2015. Unique features of Beseye Pro include patented magnetic stand design for omni-directional placement angle, sound setup technology “Let it Bee”, and intelligent video monitoring that allows users to define specified regions of interest (or trigger zones).
The camera is magnetically attached to a stand at the bottom. With a joint-like structure at the bottom, the camera can be flexibly rotated and angled. The magnetic material has also been carefully selected for enhanced product lifespan and user safety. The magnetic force between the camera and the stand is strong enough to hold the camera in place. Also, children or pets would not be able to detach the camera from the stand easily.
The camera can be placed on desks, walls, ceilings, or any other place in the home. If users wish to place the camera on walls or ceilings, they can use the wall mounting plate that employs the industrial 3M VHB adhesive. No wall drilling is required.
Setup of Beseye Pro is straightforward using the mobile app and the unique patented sound setup technology “Let it Bee”, which helps the camera connect to users’ Wi-Fi network via sound. The app will produce a sound from the users’ smart devices, which is then received and analyzed by the camera for setup. The whole setup process takes just a few minutes to complete.
The company has worked diligently on intelligent video monitoring. Users can define trigger zones so that Beseye will only respond to motion detected within the zones. This can help eliminate false alarms, which can be a major issue in home surveillance. Beseye Pro can also pick up loud sounds or identify who has entered the room, and send alerts to users.
Beseye Pro has a separated imaging processing chip onboard and records 2MP Full HD videos at 30 fps. Its wide-angle lens has a 125-degree field of view.
The company offers cloud storage, and users can view live or recorded videos as well as events on the cloud by scrolling on the timeline. Unlike most timelines that run horizontally, Beseye’s timeline runs vertically to resemble vertical timelines commonly used for social networking websites.
Beseye Pro is now available in Taiwan in both online and physical retail stores, and is expected to launch in other countries including Japan in the future.
