NodOn EnOcean Relay Switch
Compatible with the EnOcean protocol, this device turns any “dumb” lights, boilers garage doors and other devices into a smart ones. The relay switch can be mounted in the ceiling, in the wall or behind the electrical socket.
The device can be installed on the appliance which can then be controlled remotely. After being paired with sensors and a gateway, automation can be enabled to turn on or off the appliances automatically.
Zen Ecosystems Zen Thermostat
With its simple design, Zen Thermostat’s LED screen provides clear feedback. Its icons only display when required. The display fades away when it is left inactive for a while.
The left and right arrows switch between heating, cooling and fan, while the up and down arrows set the temperatures.
The thermostat is connected to the cloud, through which Zen Ecosystems provides energy management services for its clients.
The thermostat uses the Zigbee protocol and is compatible with platforms like SmartThings, SwannOne and Securifi’s Almond 2015 and Almond+.
Verdigris IoT Energy Meter
Designed for commercial buildings, the electrical meter clips directly onto the circuit panel, to monitor electricity main, distribution panel feed, and/or circuit breaker. The IoT meter is claimed to take 8,000 measurement per second to ensure accuracy. It can be installed in 30 minutes and clip-on sensor require minimum panel downtime, says the company.
Verdigris works with almost all kinds of breaker boxes, sub-panels and electricity mains in a building.
The data is streamed to the cloud over Wi-Fi, 4G or LTE. Verdigris’ backend AI then analyzes the data in real time to identify any energy consumption anomalies 24/7 – from applications down to individual devices.
The AI will learn the building to define the “normal” state and send real-time alerts of anomalies like motor faults, power quality issues, potential failures and equipment running off schedules.
The analytics report is accessible from any web browsers, desktops or mobile devices. Verdigris claims the system reduces clients’ energy expenditure by 20% to 50%.
ConnectSense Temperature & Humidity Sensor
The wireless sensor measures temperature and humidity, and the data can be accessed from anywhere on any device with a web browser. Since the device runs on Wi-Fi, no additional hardware like a gateway is required.
The temperature data is stored in ConnectSense’s cloud, from which users can view graphs or export the file for later analysis. There is no monthly fee for using the cloud.
Rules can also be set up to enable if/then scenarios. When there are changes in the environment, users will be notified via phone call, text message, email or Twitter.
The device runs on battery or 5V USB power so it can be placed anywhere.
Develco Smart Relay 16A DIN
The Zigbee device allows users to turn on/off equipment remotely from a mobile device or website. The relay consists of a DIN rail unit with built-in relay, and it communicates with a gateway.
Users can configure their home appliances in clusters and control a whole group of units instead of controlling each device separately.
The smart relay can facilitate new ways of ensuring that energy is only consumed when needed. For instance, the last person to leave the building can turn off all relevant appliances, such as electric lights and electricity for desks.
The device has the power metering functionality built-in, allowing users to monitor power consumption of a group of appliances in a building. The smart relay can therefore be used to measure how much energy is consumed in each office or room.
ABB Busch-Presence Detector
Presence detectors automatically detect the presence of someone inside the room, especially in offices and meeting rooms, where minimal movements of a person are expected. Therefore, the detection needs to be accurate and precise.
The new Busch-Presence detector range has a new attractive design. Remote control is possible via IR service or smartphone app (via Bluetooth).
Through intelligent lighting control, Busch-Presence detectors deliver greater efficiency and provide automatic light control and on/off switching. Basic lighting can be activated during an adjustable time window and is intelligent enough to set lighting to a pre-defined level of brightness, which will automatically increase as soon as sensors detect movement.
Another operating mode can also be selected for DALI presence detectors, giving constant light control by taking the environment brightness into account.
Signify Interact Pro Connected Lighting
Interact Pro is a smart lighting system developed by Signify (formerly known as Philips Lighting) for small and medium-sized companies. The system connects to up to 200 light points simultaneously. The Interact Pro app works with Interact Ready lamps, luminaires and sensors from Philips.
Interact Pro’s lighting sensors automatically detect if someone is present. This occupancy detection triggers the lights to switch on and then dims the lights when they leave, thereby reducing energy consumption. Also, the sensors automatically detect the level of daylight and adjust the light accordingly.
The Interact Pro system includes a gateway, web portal, dashboard and app through which businesses can control their lighting. Data from the lighting system will be displayed to enable business owners make informed decisions on how to manage energy consumption and meet their sustainability targets.
Senseware Smart Building Solution
Senseware is a full-stack IoT solution that streams data from existing building architecture to the cloud for intelligent analytics and optimization.
Senseware’s hardware package has three components. The bridge that integrate third party sensors, equipment and building systems with the Senseware interface. A wide range of protocols are supported; the node connects with bridges to collect and transmit data wirelessly to the gateway; the gateway sends data to the cloud in real-time and can connect to the internet via Ethernet or cellular connection.
