At the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, First Alert introduced the new Onelink Safe & Sound with Amazon Alexa built-in. Visitors experienced the first announced Alexa-enabled smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) alarm and premium home speaker at a Amazon Treasure Truck event, just outside of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The device delivers added convenience and enjoyment to every household, acting as a smart smoke/CO alarm, premium home speaker and Alexa-enabled smart device. The Onelink Safe & Sound provides hands-free access to Alexa, letting people simply use voice to play music, hear the news, check the weather, control smart home devices, and more.
The Onelink Safe & Sound allows users to rest easy knowing the device will alert them at home and away via mobile push notifications, in the event of an emergency.
“We are thrilled to showcase the Onelink Safe & Sound at Amazon’s Treasure Truck. This product takes our Onelink portfolio to the next level. With Alexa built-in, smart protection and a robust home speaker, it will truly become a must-have for many families,” said Tom Russo, vice president of marketing and product development at First Alert.
“Amazon’s Treasure Truck offered an opportunity for CES attendees to be among the first to experience the Onelink Safe & Sound with Amazon Alexa and see the many features for themselves.”
Visitors to Amazon’s Treasure Truck experienced the Onelink Safe & Sound first-hand. Attendees will also experience the premium home speakers on the device, and demonstrations of the LED functions – including the nightlight.
There were fun, interactive games for attendees to play while they learn about First Alert’s latest innovation and prizes to be won. Throughout the day, CES attendees stopped by Amazon’s Treasure Truck to play and have a chance to win Onelink and Amazon prizes, as well as pre-order the Onelink Safe & Sound.
