Heltun, an Armenian smart home systems startup, announced that it will bring its products to the European market.
The company said it will sell its first 1,000 units to three large distributors, who will sell the Armenian-made products in Scandinavia, Europe and Russia.
First Heltun product categories to be delivered in Europe will be smart thermostat and wall touch panel.
The company said that its thermostats will save users up to 50% in energy consumption; while the wall touch panels enable homeowners to control smart home devices such as lighting, curtains, blinds, windows and door locks.
Heltun also has a mobile app that allows users to control the whole home automation system from phones or tablets.
“Armenia has already proved itself exporting high-quality software to the world market,” says Ashot Mashuryan, founder and CEO of Heltun, in a statement.
“Despite we could have produced our products in China and Europe, it was very important to produce in Armenia. This shows that high quality hardware can be successfully designed and manufactured in our country.”
Heltun has developed more than 10 different smart home products, and plans to release them in these new markets in coming months. In the next year, the company plans to produce up to 10,000 units and increases its factory workforce to 30 people.
“I am sure, that Heltun products will find satisfied customers in Norway and will motivate product developers to make more exciting equipment that will change people’s lives to be more comfortable and secure,” says Mr. S.Vojtjuk from Tronika AS, the distributor in Scandinavia for Heltun, in a statement.
