French company MEG (Mind Every Garden) has created a smart flower pot with multiple sensors and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Its first product, Optima, debuted at the 2014 CES.
The Optima pot has built-in sensors that monitor plants’ condition, including humidity, temperature and ambient light. The app provides recommended actions that users can take to keep their plants healthy. Users allows users to check their plant’s condition through a companion smartphone app.
The pot itself is beautifully designed; it also doubles as a mood light that can be customized via the smartphone app to any color a user may desire. In addition, it has a built-in water tank that allows users ignore their plants for up to three weeks–it will even let users know when the tank is almost empty.
