Amaryllo introduced at CES 2014 its new line of Skype-based security products, including iCam HD, iBabi HD, iDoor, iSensor HD and more.
These cameras can stream live video to smartphones and other mobile devices via Skype's transmission protocol. In addition, the iBabi HD also features a “Privacy Mode,” which translates to a “Do Not Disturb” status on the Skype network. When privacy mode is enabled, the camera will mute itself, turn away from the monitored scene and switch off the built-in LED indicator.
A unique feature in this line of devices is a viewing app that utilizes the accelerometer and gyroscope in smartphones to control camera movement. In short, a user can remotely control a camera at home by panning and tilting his or her smartphone when viewing live video.
